Oh, where to begin…

It’s been forever since I wrote here, and a lot has happened (and will happen).

#1–I graduate with my BA in Anthropology and History, and minor in Classical Studies in December of 2023.

#2–Already been accepted to the Anthropology Master’s program at UofL.

#3–Will be applying to a few more schools out West.

#4–I am finally at the point where I have an ‘editing’ copy of Absolution printed and it’s en route to me as I type here.

Life has been busy, especially since I am working as a student assistant and as a research assistant on an anthropology project. I am completely finished with all my classes relating to anthropology, so…technically…I’m an anthropologist?! Finishing up my History and Classical Studies minor this coming fall.

We are transferring apartments next month, so we’ll be busy packing (we are looking at it as a trial run for the big move out West). We were planning on waiting until I get my Master’s at UofL before heading out to PNW, but after much thought, we decided it would be best for my career to apply to programs out there with a Ph.D. Needless to say, we are excited. It’s surreal to think that I will be walking across the stage to get my diploma in a very short time, when in fact I started college in 2001. Life happens, and sometimes it takes a while to get where you are supposed to go…I’m okay with that. Now I know exactly what I want and I’m not wasting time.

J and I are great. So great, that I am changing my last name to his, as a way to honor all his encouragement and love. We aren’t planning on marriage, but in case we do, all my legal stuff and papers will be in my new name. M will be changing theirs as well to match.

We are fostering a Service Dog in Training (since July 2022), and she’s so awesome. Super smart, and full of energy. She is from 4 Paws for Ability out of Xenia, Ohio. A great organization that helps children, adults, and Veterans.

My one brother (the oldest), J, and I are speaking again. I missed him so much and we have always been close. Having him back in my life filled a hole in my heart. My other brother…well, I am not opening that door any time (or ever) soon.

This blog will be transferred to an author’s website soon-ish. I will still blog, but it will be focused on the novel series and promotion.
